Our Purpose

The Castlefield story began in 2002. When founder, John Eckersley, started Castlefield he defined a very clear purpose for the business:

"Castlefield exists to help its clients and co-owners (employees) to achieve their personal goals. It’s that simple. We do this in such a way as to respect the interests of the widest range of stakeholders."

"We summarise this purpose as: ‘gathering assets, to do good’."

We're proud affiliates of a range of worthy organisations

Our approach to Net Zero

In December 2021, Castlefield announced its net zero policy, with commitments to achieving net zero in our own operations and supply chain, along with achieving net zero in our investment portfolio.

We engaged with independent consultants to record our baseline carbon emissions, so that we could identify the steps across the company needed to achieve our net zero commitments. The report is available below.

View our Net Zero Roadmap

Our net zero roadmap was produced in partnership with independent consultants, Positive Planet. This report provides an outline of why we're taking action and gives a breakdown of our current baseline emissions, together with our net zero targets. The data is then used to identify the roadmap of steps we're committed to take, in order to achieve our net zero targets.

You can download a copy of the report at the link below.
