I’m the founder of Castlefield. In terms of formal training, I’m a graduate of Accounting and Finance, with a financial services sector-specific MBA. A Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, in late 2012 I became one of the UK’s first Chartered Wealth Managers. I’m also an alumnus of the London Business School Private Equity Executive Programme, where I mainly learned how not to structure investment in private businesses!
In terms of experience, I’m a former director of Henry Cooke Group plc and executive director of the private bank, Brown Shipley. Despite having over 35 years of industry experience under my belt, I’m still convinced that the best years for Castlefield are ahead of us!
Day-to-day, I’m now responsible for the overall governance of the business, as its Chair, but I do also keep a close eye on investment policy and how it’s applied to each of our clients’ portfolios. I act as a trustee of a small number of charities, including the endowment trust of the world-renowned Halle Orchestra.
Away from the office, I’m interested in music, I collect modern and contemporary art and I can usually be seen clutching the latest electronic gadget!
